xFORMAL-IRIS (GA No. 101008184) was a complementary initiative funded by a Special Needs Lump Sum (SNLS) grant that aimed to put the principles of inclusivity and universal access at the centre of research and dissemination. Its main task was to ensure that the innovative achievements of the main xFORMAL project were not only scientifically excellent, but also truly accessible and participatory for all.
While xFORMAL developed and validated a model for informal learning centred on European pre-Roman cultural heritage, xFORMAL-IRIS focused specifically on embedding accessibility and inclusion into these outputs.
The main outcome of this collaboration is an accessible digital publication in EPub3 format that presents the xFORMAL project in an inclusive, engaging and user-friendly way.
